FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Being Black in the Work Place
They take my kindness for weakness. They take my silence for
speechlessness. They consider my uniqueness strange. They call my
language slang. They see my confidence as conceit. They see my mistakes
as defeat. They consider my success accidental. They minimize my
intelligence to "potential". My questions mean "I'm unaware". My
advancement is somehow unfair. Any praise is preferential treatment. To
voice concern is discontentment. If I stand up for myself, I'm too
defensive. If I don't trust them, I'm too apprehensive. I'm defiant if
I separate. I'm fake if I assimilate. Yet I'm constantly faced with
workplace hate. My character is constantly under attack. Pride for my
race makes me, "TOO BLACK". Yet, I can only be me. And who am I you
might ask? I am that Strong Black Person. Who stands on the backs of my
ancestor's achievements, with an erect spine pointing to the stars with
pride, dignity and respect ... who lets the workplace in America know
that I not only possess the ability to play by the rules, but I can
make them as well! Black History 365
P.S. - Pass it on to your black co-workers. Good, Better, Best, Never

"Grace is receiving what we do not deserve. Mercy is not receiving what we do deserve."
The light of God surrounds me; the love of God enfolds me; the power of God protects me; the presence of God watches over me; wherever I am, God is.

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people's faith by teaching things that are contrary to what you have been taught. Romans 16:17 (NLT)
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

We make a living by what we earn? we make a life by what we give. Winston Churchill
The problem is not how much we earn . . . it' how much we spend.

"A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps" -- Proverbs 16:9

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall lhide me in his pavilion: in the secfret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifdtged up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yeafr, I will sing praises unto the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe ou cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the lad of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27

The Holy Alphabet... This is Beautiful !
(Whoever came up with this one must have had some Divine guidance!)
Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
X alting God most high
Y es, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Z ion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!
Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.
Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss things; small minds discuss people. Get in where you fit in!

Fret not thyself because of evil doers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity, for they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither as the green herb. (Psalm 37:1)

Those who don't are totally deceived.
